Kimpira
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 3 tablespoons dried shrimps
- 1 pound gobo (burdock root), peeled and 2 inches julienned
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 cup shoyu (soy sauce)
- 1 small red chili pepper, minced
Saute dried shrimps in hot oil. Add gobo and saute 1 minute. Add sugar and shoyu and pepper and simmer over medium heat for 3 minutes or until sauce is absorbed. Makes about 6 to 8 servings.
